A taste of honey's worse than none at all.

Oh, Mister Mathew Weiner -- you must have seen my recent cri de coeur re the lovely Ms. Rachel Menken, and what do you do? You give me mere seconds of her on the screen tonight. A tease! You bastard. Bring her back.

Ah well. I console myself with the fact that I appear to be falling for Pete Campbell's wife, the delightful Trudy, who he so does not deserve (they really need a beter picture of her on the AMC website):

After this week's episode, I'm betting you wish you could be the one withnwhom the lovely Trudy exacts her well-earned revenge some day.

Meanwhile, I am thinking that Peggy in her blue dress looked far more like the girl I lusted after when she played Jed Bartlett's daughter.

I am also thinking I would have done so much better in 1960 than I did in 2000. A smoke, a drink, and some deli on the conference room table. Ahhh, to be a Man in the days when we were powerful and oh so stupid.

On further thought, I've decided that "lusted" isn't the right word. I admired her character on West Wing, and I kind of like her spunk on Mad Men. I guess it would be more accurate to say I'm rooting for her and I passionately wnat good things to happen to her.

If you cared to know...
